How I Got My Name

I thought I would explain how I got my name. After my parents decided they wanted to rescue a boxer, they knew they wanted to adopt a male boxer. Because they were adopting a male boxer, my parents decided it would be neat to name me after a famous boxer. My mommy and daddy told me they picked Muhammad Ali to name me after. Apparently, he was a really famous boxer. He was also from Louisville, Ky which is where my mommy is from----on a side note over the holidays on our way from Indiana to Kentucky we passed this big building in downtown Louisville named after me....opps...I mean Muhammad Ali----so that is the story behind my name being Ali.

Oh and I also heard this is a pretty famous quote associated with Muhammad Ali.
"Float like a butterfly; sting like a bee."

All About Me

Hi everyone out there in blog land! I decided to start my own blog because I see my mommy blog and I thought it would be cool to have a blog of my own. I was checking out some the other Boxers in the world who have blogs and it looks like I am in good company! Let me start my blog by telling you a little bit about myself. I am eight almost nine months old. My mom and dad adopted me from a rescue organization called Critter Calvary right here in beautiful Franklin, TN. You can see other dogs who need rescued and the happy tales of dogs who have been adopted through CC by clicking here. The picture above is when I was 7 weeks old and the first time I met my human mom and dad. My foster parents were so nice they fostered me, my 2 sisters, and my mom (she was a boxer). I went to my forever home just a few days later on August 22, 2008. Our neighbor, Miss Mary helped my mommy and daddy adopt me---she helps CC by fostering dogs. I am an all natural Boxer because I am a rescue. As far my parents know I am a full blooded boxer--no one is sure if my dad was a boxer but we all think so. I came to CC when I was about week old so I never had my tail docked. My parents could have docked my tail when I went to the vet to be neutered but they decided not to. They told me I wasn't going to have my tail docked because it would be like a doctor cutting off one of their fingers. I am not sure how painful that would be, but I think my mommy and daddy made the right choice. I have floppy ears--my ears were not cropped and I have my dew claws too. My dew claws have bone in them so they could not be removed. I still have the Boxer wiggles--you just see it through my tail instead of my butt. I am full of energy and love to play in my backyard, play at the dog park, and take nice long walks. My parents tell me all the time that I act like a human because I like to sleep in their bed and sometimes I even lay my head on their pillows, I have been known to sit at the kitchen table and enjoy a nice day by relaxing in a patio chair. I am really good at cuddling too--I love to curl up and relax and watch a little TV in the evenings. Well, it's about time for my walk but I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little about me! I posted some pictures of me below. I will post more recent ones later. The pictures below I range in age from 7 weeks to 6 months.

Here I am in my backyard on my first day at home with my mom and dad.

I wanted to learn how to clean so I thought I would hop on the dust mop to help clean the hardwood floors.

On Halloween I dressed up as a devil
Here I am sitting at the kitchen table at my Grandma and Grandpa Kozusko's house.

This me and mommy cuddling on couch one evening.
